Many communications specialists see this event as the start of the Christmas season... so we hope it's not too early to tear off the first layer of giftwrap and open up ticket sales for the Communications Industry Carol Service and post-carols networking drinks!
This year's service will take place on Monday 12 December at the iconic St Bride's Church, Fleet Street.
The Welcome Bidding will be delivered by Charles Garside, Assistant Editor of the Daily Mail, while the guest speaker will be Lindsay Nicholson, Editorial Director of Good Housekeeping, who will reflect on “Has the festive season become commercial? Too much like hard work?”.
In addition to the programme of readings and carols, there will again be a guest performance of a secular music from 6.15pm and a musical interlude in the programme. (It is advised that guests take their seats by 6.15pm.)
The service will see CIPR members singing from the same carol sheet as members of the Advertising Association; Audit Bureau of Circulations; Chartered Institute of Journalist; Gorkana; Incorporated Society of British Advertisers; Institute of Practitioners in Advertising; International Advertising Association UK Chapter; International Building Press; London Press Club; News Media Association; Professional Publishers Association; Public Relations & Communications Association; Society of Editors; Women in Advertising and Communications London; and the Worshipful Company of Marketors.
Tickets for the carol service are free - but you must register in advance via this page, as space is limited.
After the service, you are also invited to join members of the above supporting groups for drinks and a finger buffet at the nearby All Bar One, 44-46 Ludgate Hill. This is a chance to get into the Christmas spirit and mingle informally with communicators from a variety of sectors and organisations!
To help cover the costs of the generous amount of food and drink on offer, there is a ticket price associated with this social element of the evening. To attend the networking drinks, please purchase the appropriate ticket from the options presented via the 'Tickets' button on this page. You are welcome to buy tickets even if you are not able to attend the carol service itself.
We look forward to seeing you on 12 December to help bring in the pre-Christmas season in style.
