Communities of Hope Book Launch & Community Hub Conversation

“Communities of Hope” tells Nigel’s story of God’s blessing and provision in founding Hope Nottingham with its network of community hubs and foodbanks, and how Hope House in particular has developed to become a blessed community with Jesus at the centre. The book aims to inspire and equip church-led social action projects to get started and to grow to become wonderful new Christian communities – communities of hope.

Many churches and Christian social action projects are now developing as community hubs. There is also a great opportunity for things like Warm Spaces, Places of Welcome, Foodbanks etc to develop as community hubs. These initiatives are creating significant opportunities for the church to share the love of God in word and deed.

Transforming Notts Together brings together many partners to inspire, equip and connect churches and social action projects by:-

Partnership connection with statutory and other professionals and charities

Equipping Community hub leaders with mentoring, consultancy and peer networking

Inspiring and equipping volunteers for transformational befriending support

Inspiring and equipping new forms of compassion led Christian community.

Co-hosted by Simon Cartwright, Chief Officer of TNT and Nigel Adams, the event will share some of the inspiring stories from the book and use some of its themes to spark discussion and partnership conversations to enable community hubs/communities of hope to grow across Nottinghamshire.

“Communities of Hope” will be available for discounted purchase from the author at the event and will also be available full price from eden.co.uk or amazon from 10th May. Kindle and audible copies also available.
