This Event is £5*

The £15 booking fee is a deposit with £10 redeemable after registering at the SKC arrivals desk. £5 goes towards the buffet lunch, refreshments and the eventbrite booking fee.


Join staff and volunteers from across Kent working in community and environmental action to network, share best practice and gain practical tips and tools

  • Networking breakfast and lunch

  • Practical tips and tools for professional development on digital, fundraising, volunteering, governance, campaigning and more

  • Plenary sessions with keynote speakers and Q&A

  • Expert funding and SKC Employer Supported Volunteering advice in 1-2-1 sessions


Who should attend?

Staff and volunteers from Kent's charities, voluntary organisations, community groups and social enterprises (VCSE) who work in:

  • Community and healthy living centres, churches, grassroots community groups including town teams and town and parish councils, WIs, soroptimists, lions clubs, voluntary action and more

  • Healthy living projects, community allotments, community gardens and community kitchens, animal protection and wildlife conservation projects and animal and environmental campaigning.

Everything from community hubs to healthy eating, animal rescue, guerrilla gardeners, litter picking groups, plastic free towns, woodland and coastal protection groups.

Parking

Augustine House is easily accessible by bus or train. Augustine House is a 5 minute walk from Canterbury East Station and next to Canterbury High Street. Secure, free of charge bike racks are available at Augustine House. There is no parking at Augustine House, but parking at Canterbury East Station is long stay and recommended and there are several public car parks nearby.

What time do I arrive?

Registration and networking breakfast from 9:15. Please arrive in plenty of time to register before your seminars, which start at 10:00.

How do I book seminars and 1-2-1 support sessions?

All seminars and 1-2-1 sessions are booked on a first come first served basis and spaces are limited

Buffet lunch, refreshments and booking fee included

*Eventbrite holds the £15 when you book online. Your £10 deposit is refunded by SKC via Eventbrite the day after the event. Eventbrite processes the £5 ticket payment 4-5 days after the event. Register at the SKC welcome/registration desk at the conferences to receive your deposit.

Refunds:

We can't refund non-attendance but we are happy for you to transfer your ticket to a colleague, volunteer or another person working in the VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector).This means anyone from registered charities, not for profit organisations, voluntary, community and faith groups, sports and arts clubs and social enterprises. If you are unsure whether your organisation counts as a VCSE sector organisation, please contact Emma Cooney on 01843 609339 emma@strongerkentcommunities.org.uk.

Please let us know about the transfer in advance so we can change the delegate badges and registration details - or so we can offer your ticket to someone else.
