Event description

Register for your free wristband to march with Power to Change in the Pride parade!

We have a limited number of wristbands to give away to people who want to celebrate how diverse and inclusive community businesses are, celebrate Pride and walk through London along our community business float. First come, first served.

What to expect?

As a marcher, you can:

    • Have your face painted and be given a cheer kit to get into the pride spirit
    • Walk along our community business float with other people involved in or supporting community business
    • Engage the crowds by blowing bubbles and generally showing how kind community businesses are
    • Have a great time celebrating pride!

On the day

All Power to Change marchers will meet at Impact Hub King's Cross (34b York Way, King's Cross, London, N1 9AB) from 12.30pm.

We will need to be in the ‘production zone’ from 3pm so will walk there together from King's Cross. We will have an allocated time slot but you should stay in London the night before if you are coming from further afield so you are in town on morning 7 July (see travel and accommodation tips below).

At the end of the parade, we will regroup at Embankment Tube Station then you can decide what you’d like to do – party the night away, watch live performances in Trafalgar Square or call it a day, the choice is yours!

What to bring

You will be given a cheer kit full of goodies to engage with the crowd but we also recommend you bring a backpack with:

    • Water
    • Snacks
    • Suncream
    • Sunglasses
    • A rain poncho or similar
    • Phone charger or/and battery
    • Any Pride accessories you want to wear

We will be giving all marchers t-shirts and face painting but please feel free to customise your outfit with lots of colour, sequins and glitter.

Travel and accommodation

We recommend you stay in London on Friday 6 July if you are coming from far away. There’s a selection of affordable and decent accommodation around King’s Cross / Euston where the parade will start including hostels like:

The Generator Hostel

The Clink

YHA Central Hostel also has hotel options. Booking is recommended early as London gets very busy over Pride weekend.

Travel and accommodation bursaries are available. For these or any other questions, please email Matt
