Event description

Description

One-year-old Eman* was at her relatives’ house in a village in Arhab District, Sana’a Governorate, when an airstrike hit the building. The blast killed her mother and at least five other women who had gathered to offer their condolences after the funeral of one their relatives. Eman* survived after being trapped in a small space under the rubble but her face was badly burned by the explosion, causing her eyes to swell severely.

Sadly the story of Eman* is not the an exception. Children in Yemen are suffering from a conflict which shows no sign of abeiting and is being fuelled by external players.

Come and join our Community Campaigning Day on Yemen and help us put pressure on the UK government to act.

We’re looking for people across the UK to lead a movement for change, and call on the Government to act to help Yemen’s children. We will be offering a free, day long-event, where we will tell you the basics of planning a campaign and help you plan for running a campaign in your local area.

We are able to cover travel expenses for anyone who is not based in London. Please contact campaigns@savethechildren.org.uk if you'd like to discuss. We look forward to seeing you there.
