Event description
Let's watch A Life On Our Planet and start a conversation about what we can do in our communities to fight the climate crisis.

About this event

You are warmly invited to one of Partisan's free Community Cinema Events this autumn! Partisan would like to invite everyone who joined the screenings to contribute to a zine.

Partisan will host 5 screenings of David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet and welcome new and old friends from the community to our now fully accessible home in Salford. We hope that watching this film together will work as a springboard to inspire us in fighting the climate crisis collectively. Printed by the contributors on the day and shared with all community groups. I've formed the best friendships whilst crafting and learning new skills and am sure - if you are up for it - will do to 🙂

The events are open to community members of all ages. The documentary is rated PG and will run 83min. Stick around for a short informal discussion, access break and open-end zine making session after the screening. We kindly ask you to wear a mask throughout the event if you can. We hope that this activity will open pathways for collaboration and connection. The screenings will take place in the early afternoon on Saturdays and Sundays:

Sunday 24th October 2-5pm

Saturday 6th November 2-5pm

Sunday 14th November 2-5pm

Saturday 20th November 2-5pm

Sunday 5th December 2-5pm

Partisan has an accessible toilet, and a newly built permanent wheelchair access ramp at the entrance of our building. Please get in touch with us in advance if you have any access requirements you would like to inform us of.

Assistance dogs are allowed at all times. Other well behaved dogs are usually welcome, with the exception of in performance rooms of loud music events. If you have a dog allergy/phobia let us know – we’ll do what we can.

Partisan aims to be a safer space. As such, harmful and discriminatory behaviour is not tolerated. As a cooperative, Partisan is democratically owned by its members, and is shaped by everybody through what we say and what we do. If you are challenged or feel threatened, speak to someone wearing a Partisan t-shirt or anyone behind the bar; they are there to help.
