Garvagh and District Development Association provides a welcoming, safe and neutral environment for people of all ages to meet and join many activities, classes and social events that are on offer. Garvagh People's Forest is a five year project funded by the Big Lottery to grow the value of Garvagh Forest with and for local people. Garvagh Forest School is a cross community partnership between five primary schools in the area with two more about to join. There is also an adult version: 'Unplugged in Garvagh Forest' taking place in their heated yurt in the forest, where they have sessions in making useful items out of reclaimed wood, crocheting, map making and mindfulness.
Eden Project Communities is funded by the national lottery to celebrate communities and inspire and connect community initiatives all over the UK. We have a network of people active in their community all over the UK who support and invigorate each other, and this gathering is designed to encourage deeper connections.
