Community Connect - Introduction to the Money Guiders Community

Join us for the final Community Connect of the year – a warm and welcoming session to reflect, refresh, and reconnect. We’ll be sharing exciting updates from the Money Guiders Learning Hub, exploring how the Northern Ireland Money Guiders Network can support your role, and celebrating the season with a touch of festive cheer!

Whether you're a long-standing member or new to the Network, this is a great opportunity to learn, share, and connect with peers across Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK.

Who is this session for?

• Existing Network members looking for a refresher on how Money Guiders can support their work
• New practitioners curious about how money guidance fits into their role
• Anyone supporting others with money-related conversations and looking to build confidence and community

What to expect:
By the end of the session, you’ll have:
• A deeper understanding of the value of money guidance
• Insight into how to develop your money-related knowledge and skills
• Peer-to-peer support and a live Q&A
• A festive wrap-up to celebrate the year’s achievements!

The Money Guiders Programme

Money Guiders is provided by the Money and Pensions Service. It is a programme which seeks to help money guidance practitioners improve their knowledge, skills and confidence. Everything that the Money Guiders programme offers centres around the Money Guidance Competency Framework - it's there to help you better understand the full breadth and depth of money related issues that fall outside of the regulated financial advice service sector - the things you talk to your customers about.

Before attending the session, you could:

• Try out our money guidance confidence checker, to find out how you feel about the conversations you have with customers about money
• Spend some time considering the challenges you face in your work, specifically when you provide help and guidance to your clients or service users around money issues.
