The Feminist Therapy Network Community Conversations Series is an online, peer-led space for UK-based feminist / feminist curious therapists to share experiences, struggles, dilemmas and think collectively on a themed topic.
The conversations are a welcoming and informal way to connect with like-minded folks and collectively explore feminist topics in relation to our therapeutic practices. Each conversation is 75 minutes long.

Taking Care of Trans Folks: responsibilities and allyship

A conversation for all bodies and genders, in light of the Supreme Court ruling and greater public targeting of trans and non-binary folks, let’s share ideas, experiences and concerns in how we undertake solidarity work in caring for trans and non-binary folks.
Dual Relationships: navigating showing up in community alongside clients
Tuesday 21st October at 6pm UK time
Therapists active in their communities are more likely to experience dual relationships, overlapping with clients in other contexts. This conversation invites reflections on how to approach both upholding and subverting notions such as ‘boundaries’ and ‘professionalism’ in order to consider arising dual relationships collaboratively, reflexively and with care.
Reclaiming a Feminist Therapeutics
Thursday 27th November at 7pm UK time
How can we take up Judith Butler’s call for feminism to be reclaimed from those that are co-opting feminism to oppress and marginalise others? By extension, what are the challenges in trying to re-conceptualise and reclaim a feminist therapy for current times? Bring your rage, discomfort, frustration and creative ideas!
