Frequently asked questions

What is coworking?

When a group of like minded people come together in the same place and work on their own to do list!

Do you have to be a business owner to attend?

No, it doesn't matter if you work for yourself or someone else. The objective is to connect a community who work from home.

Can I only attend for a short time?

Yes, drop in / out to suit your schedule.

What do I need to bring?

Bring your laptop, charger, and the work you need to do!

Where will I work?

We'll be sat together somewhere - order your drink first and someone from the venue will let you know where we are if you can't see us.

How do you stay focused?

The first 15 minutes is informal networking. Then there is a structure to us getting down to work! Some people drop in and out of conversation, although it is generally focused on two productive sessions and a break in between.

How can I get the most out of the Community Coworking Cafe?

Be intentional with what you bring and want to get done, although be realistic with the time! If you normally work on two screens, what can you do on one screen only? i.e any admin, email, creating etc.

Can I make/take calls?

Yes, if you take calls or need to hop on zoom, you can usually find a quiet corner or pop your headphones in. We're all focused on our own work so we don't listen!

How is it different to a coworking space?

It's less about hiring a desk and more about connecting a community together who work from home in this rural area.
