Community Exchange: Accessible LGBTI+ Swap and Share
Overview
Welcome to Equality Network's first Community Exchange. Join us for an accessible LGBTI+ community swap and share at Duncan Place Community Hub in Edinburgh on Saturday 31st January from 11am to 4pm.
This community event is a chance to swap unwanted clothes, gifts and craft supplies, learn new skills, and have some food together. There will be a chance to take part in hands-on skill sharing, including letter writing, clothes mending, and zine-making, and to talk to Equality Network staff about our work or pick up helpful resources.
Lunchtime food and drinks will be provided, so come along, meet people and connect with your community.
Bring a bag of clean clothes, gifts or craft supplies you want to swap and an item of clothing you want to learn to mend (not including shoes).
You don't need to bring anything in order to take part and you can attend for all or part of the event.
Access information:
There are limited accessible parking spaces available. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible with a ramped entrance and button operated doors to get in, once inside there are non-gendered accessible bathrooms and everything will be on the ground floor level. There will be no music or flashing lights and all activities are optional.
Please read the code of conduct before buying your ticket. If you have any access requirements or other questions, please email Mel@equality-network.org
