Event description

Description

Level: Intermediate.

Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed by the number of ways there are to proactively drive Community Fundraising income? Does it feel like some days don’t have enough hours? Or does the increasing income ambition your cause needs to deliver its mission, sometimes make you feel like you need a sit down?

In this new course, you’ll learn where to focus your efforts for maximum impact in your regional or community fundraising role. Whether or not Community Fundraising is the sole focus of your job, you’ll learn how to build on your existing fundraising skills, and take a structured approach to proactively grow your income. It’s a journey through planning, pipelines and potential and is designed to help you focus where it matters most: people. We’ll also cover budgeting, and overcoming tricky challenges we all face in Community Fundraising roles. In this highly interactive day, you’ll work in teams, pairs and by yourself to put your learning into practice.

Learning Outcomes / Objectives:

To understand the priorities of community fundraising

To better budget and plan for the year ahead

To increase confidence in having tricky conversations with supporters

To ensure a proactive, business development approach to your community fundraising

To identify value and potential when working with supporters
