Get Grants Community Fundraising Course is designed for fundraisers to tap into the potential of their community to increase their organisation’s income.

Community Fundraising is one of the oldest, best-known, and most resilient forms of fundraising, including Marathons, Coffee Mornings, and Challenge Events (both virtual and in person).

What to expect:

Over two 2-hour sessions, Get Grants Fundraising Expert Rosie Milson will take you through top tips, tools, and practical strategies you can put into practice to increase your Community Fundraising success.

This course will develop your knowledge, build your confidence, and equip you with a skills you can put into practice. In this course, you will:

  • Understand the different activities involved in Community Fundraising.
  • Evaluate how Community Fundraising can work best for your organisation – assessing your objectives and opportunities, and what activities will give you the best return on investment.
  • Get feedback on your ideas and practical advice.
  • Begin developing a practical plan for your Community Fundraising – with measurable goals and realistic aims, and identify the best tools and fundraising platforms to use.
  • Learn how to recruit fundraisers and volunteers and promote your fundraising opportunities.
  • Develop your supporter retention and stewardship to maximise your community’s potential!
  • Think about your wider Community Fundraising strategy, including building relationships, case studies, and monitoring and evaluation.

ABOUT THE TRAINER

Rosie Milsom has 12 years of experience working in the charity sector, in small and medium charities across a range of causes. She currently works as a freelance fundraising consultant and coach.

Rosie classes herself as a multi-discipline fundraiser, and is passionate about helping charities of all sizes to become more confident in their fundraising. She shares her passion and expertise through Get Grants Training Courses and leads our Community Fundraising, Using Data, Developing a Fundraising Strategy, and Individual Giving Training Courses, as well as many of our Masterclasses.

Rosie was previously Head of Fundraising at The British Youth Council, a small national youth charity, where she has supported an overall increase of 40% of fundraised income during a particularly tough time for charities. In another previous role at Caudwell LymeCo, she launched an Individual Giving income stream from scratch, growing by 600% in her first 12 months.

Alongside her fundraising career, Rosie is a certified life coach, supporting people to increase their self-worth and success. She achieves life-changing results for her clients and uses her coaching skills when delivering training and working with mentees.

She is also Trustee of a local youth music charity, a board member of a dance theatre company, a keen fan of Harry Potter (though not JK Rowling) and a dog mum.
