About this event

🌻Every Wednesday we host a Community Garden session where you can get stuck in with gardening, meet other people and enjoy the nature on campus. Whether you're new to gardening, interested in gardening or a very experienced one, all are welcome! You can get as stuck in as you like. 🌱

🌿Whilst we have our gardening sessions every Wednesday, you are able to enjoy the space at any time. It's only during these Wednesday sessions when you'll have access to the gardening tools available.

🧑‍🌾Any and all are welcome, regardless of gardening ability and you can get as stuck in as you like!

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay to attend?

No! The garden is completely free to access and joining the regular garden sessions is free too.

Do I have to book to come along?

No! You don't have to book on via Eventbrite for the garden sessions. These are set up so you know what days we are running are Community Garden sessions.

Who is the garden open to?

The garden area is primarily used for staff and students at the university, however, local community members are also welcome to join.

Do I have to garden?

You can get as stuck in as you like. We have different gardening tasks each week such as repotting, planting and weeding, and you don't need to be an experienced gardener either. You can also just come to meet others or take the time to appreciate nature in the space if you prefer.

What if I can't make Wednesdays?

The Community Garden is open for anyone to use anytime. Wednesdays are however the only time we give access to the shed with our gardening tools. There are however times throughout the year where event dates will change, so keep an eye out for other sessions on other days!
