About this event

Community • City & Town

It’ll be hot and zingy, and it’ll clear your sinuses!

Join us at Brooklands Park on the 18th of October, for a taste of natural goodness. Guided by Sophie Cropley (aka @mudandwellies), you’ll learn how to make a fire cider that’ll keep the sniffles at bay - and blow the cobwebs away - as we head into the chilly months.

Made with apple cider vinegar, its punch comes from raw, natural ingredients, like ginger, onion, garlic and chilli. All added to your taste and topped off with a dollop (or two) of honey. A daily dose of this immunity boosting juice will help towards keeping you healthy throughout winter. (If you would like to take some fire cider home please bring a 500ml jar/container along)

You can learn the recipe and chat about the different health-giving properties of each ingredient when we meet at Brooklands Park on the 18th of September. Plus, we’ll have everything you’ve come to expect from a Community Garden Social - Kubb, brews, nature and community.

Hope to see you there!

We’ll hold the space, you choose what to do with it.

What you need to know

You can access the Community Garden from either of the car parks - remember to pay for your parking.

You can also reach the park by bus, with several routes stopping on Brighton Road and Western Road. Check with your service operator for times and availability.
