We’re running another FREE 6-week Community Garden Training Course — perfect for anyone who wants to get involved in Aberdeen’s growing movement and get ready for spring!
Whether you’re brand new to gardening, want to help in the Gairn Community Garden, or just fancy learning some new skills, this friendly, practical course is for you.
Starting Sunday 28th September, 12–2pm, you’ll join a small group (maximum 10 people) for relaxed, hands-on sessions inside our polytunnel, led by the fantastic team from One Seed Forward.
Over 6 weeks, you’ll learn:
• How to Start a Community Garden – Organising your group, choosing what to grow, getting started
• Garden Design Basics – Making a plan that works for everyone
• Soil & Compost – How to build healthy soil and make your own compost
• Germinating and Propagating – How to start seeds and multiply plants
• Planting and Tending – Looking after your crops through the seasons
• Harvesting and Eating – Picking and using the fruits of your labour!

• Location: Gairn Community Garden Polytunnel (near Gairn Terrace, Aberdeen)
• Cost: Free! (But booking is essential)
• Places: Limited to 10 participants to keep it personal and hands-on
