Join Us for Sunday Volunteering at our Community Garden!
Looking for a fun way to spend your Sunday morning? Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or new to growing, everyone is welcome at our weekly Community Growing sessions!
Join a diverse group of volunteers to:
- Learn organic and sustainable gardening practices like seed sowing, hedge planting, and crop harvesting.
- Meet like-minded people in a friendly and inclusive environment.
- Support our Community Food Initiative, which grows fresh produce for local social enterprises.
What to Expect
📅 When: Every Sunday, starting at 10:00 AM, finishing at 12:00 PM
📍 Where: Paradise Cooperative Garden, Wandsworth
We’ll guide you through hands-on gardening tasks to nurture our vibrant community garden. Sessions are relaxed, fun, and a great way to connect with others while giving back to your community.
Important Information
- Clothing: Please wear weather-appropriate clothing suitable for gardening.
- Equipment: All tools and materials are provided.
- Accessibility: Our site has uneven paths, but we aim to make it inclusive. Let us know if you need adjustments by emailing community@paradisecooperative.org.
- Bee Allergies: We have a small apiary onsite. If you have a bee allergy, please bring necessary medication. Bee stings are rare, but it’s important to be prepared.
- Children: All ages are welcome, but under-18s must be accompanied by an adult. Children remain the responsibility of their parent/carer throughout the session.

Frequently asked questions
Yes! All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult, and parents/carers are responsible for them throughout the session.
Yes! Please email Eve (Head of Community Outreach) at community@paradisecooperative.org, so we can make sure we are supporting your child with the reporting for Duke of Edinburgh. All under-18's must be accompanied by an adult.
Not at all! Beginners and experienced gardeners alike are welcome.
Our site has uneven paths and some physical tasks, but we aim to accommodate all abilities. We have widened key paths through the garden, and some higher raised beds for better accessibility. We are working on installing an accessible toilet. Please contact us if you need adjustments.
Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear. All tools and materials will be provided.
We have a small apiary onsite. While bee stings are rare, we recommend bringing any necessary medication, as we do not store remedies on-site.
