Community Horticulture: Regenerating the Writtle Orchard
Wed 29 March 2017, 19:00 – 21:30 BST
Organised by Writtle University College BSc Honours in Horticulture students, Tom Brindle, Hamish Porteous and Scott Downes, you are invited to join us at an evening lecture event to discuss community involvement in horticulture. Former Gardeners World presenter Peter Seabrook together with Alison Findlay, the RHS' community outreach advisor will speak about their experiences and thoughts on this subject. Other speakers (to be confirmed) will discuss examples of community horticulture in action. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A debate at the end of the presentations. Refreshments will be available during an interval in the presentations. Tickets for the event are limited, and all proceeds (after costs) will be donated to the local InterAct charity, to support the ongoing regeneration of their 'Aspire' community garden.
