Event description
Learning from the experience of Safe Regeneration, a community hub in the Liverpool city region

About this Event

Join the University of Liverpool, the Power to Change Research Institute and Safe Regeneration as we launch our new report, Community hubs: what works and why?

The report identifies ten strategies that could help community hubs across the region (and beyond) to develop their sustainability.

Drawing on interviews with community hub practitioners and other stakeholders from across the region and observations of day-to-day practice over six months, the research examines the strategies employed within Safe Regeneration, such as lean thinking, a hub-and-spoke framework, generous leadership and a focus on asset acquisition.

Established in 2000, Safe Regeneration is a pioneering community hub organisation that has created a creative community enterprise centre, opened the region's only Community Pub, and is now leading the UK's largest community-led housing development.

We invite community hub leaders and others involved in the social economy to join us to find out more.

All attendees will receive a copy of the report, learn more about the findings and be invited to consider the ways in which these strategies might help your own journey towards sustainability.

A light lunch will be provided.

There is no charge for this event.
