If you are living with dementia or caring for someone with this disease, these workshops will give you skills to provide stimulation, calm, renewed interest in life and more rewarding relationships. Throughout the sessions we will learn some theory but the day will mainly consist of experiential learning through practical activities.


Course content:

• What is person centred dementia support?

• Building empathic communication

• Focussing on what the person can do

• Using memory and emotion

• Embedding person centred methods in daily routine


This workshop is suitable for family carers of people living with dementia and care workers. People with mild to moderate dementia may also benefit but must be accompanied by a carer.
