This qualification prepares learners for further learning and training whilst developing an understanding of the teaching and learning environment in a school setting. It covers areas such as how to support the well-being of a child or young person and child and young person development.

This qualification is aimed at a range of learners who are thinking of working in a school setting. Learners can progress onto the Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools and Colleges or the Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning.

Fees:

1)  FREE - if you earn less than £15,736.50 or are on a means-tested benefit.

2) PAYMENT HELP AVAILABLE - if you earn more than £15,736.50 but are on a low-income, we might be able to help pay part or all of your course fees. Email: philippa.guthrie@inspireculture.org.uk for an application form or if you have any questions.

3) CO-FUNDED - if you are on a higher-income, the government will pay approximately half of your course fees. The cost to you will be £105.75.
