Event description

Renfrewshire Community Planning Partnership will be hosting a series of events in March 2018 in order to consult with local residents on proposals for a new model of governance.

When we talk about Community Level Governance, we mean the formal structures by which local communities engage with the Council and other public services. Currently in Renfrewshire, this is done through a structure of committees called ‘Local Area Committees’ (or ‘LACs’) which were established as formal committees of the Council in 2007.

We have already done some engagement with people as part of our review of current arrangements and developed these proposals from that input.

The proposals cover five themes;

  • function,
  • membership,
  • boundaries,
  • meetings,
  • grants.

About the drop-in sessions:

The drop-in session will provide an opportunity for local people to explore the proposals, discuss and give us your feedback.
