About this event

  • Event lasts 4 hours 30 minutes

BSWN is a racial justice organisation with over 15+ years of experience working in the South West to enable Black and Minoritised communities, businesses, and the community sector to take action against racial systemic inequality.

By joining this event, you will be provided with a safe space to have a meaningful, honest conversation with local funders about where the investment should be directed to improve the lives of Black and Minoritised individuals in and around Exeter.

The opinions, experiences and perspectives shared during the meeting will be collated and used to advocate for better investment in the racial justice community sector.

Who is this event for?

This event is an opportunity for Black and Minoritised community organisations, businesses, and individuals in and around Exeter to gather together and connect between themselves and with local funders.

What else do I need to know?

We also provide free-of-charge support to all Black and Minoritised community sector organisations and businesses in the South West to improve their financial sustainability and impact. Nathalie, our Regional Capacity Building Manager will be on hand to answer any queries about your organisation on the day.

Organised by

BSWN is a Black-led racial justice infrastructure organisation. Our over-arching strategic intent is to build dynamic, independent, and strong Black communities, businesses and organisations that are empowered to flourish while challenging systemic barriers and forging a true path for themselves. We believe that only through this will we significantly address racial inequality.

Our work falls into three broad areas - Cross-sector Enterprise and Innovation; Cultural Inclusion; Research and Knowledge – with Scrutiny and Accountability and Representation and Power as over-arching themes that cut through all our work.
