Community Litter Pick at Donmouth Local Nature Reserve
Overview
Community Litter Pick at Donmouth Local Nature Reserve
Join the Countryside Ranger Service to carry out a litter pick at the Donmouth Local Nature Reserve.
Our activities will focus on:
- Litter collection: we will be using litter pickers to remove litter/debris from the site.
- Flytipping removal: any larger items (furniture etc.) will be dragged to an accessible point on site to allow collection by the City Council’s Flytipping Team.
- Firepit removal: any fire pits found on site will be disassembled to discourage illegal campfires.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the local biodiversity, meet like-minded people and make a tangible impact on conserving East Tullos Burn’s habitats and wildlife.
Additional Information:
All tools and equipment will be provided, along with guidance from the team. No prior experience is necessary - just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to make a difference!
What to Bring:
- Suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear (potentially wellington boots)
- Thick gardening gloves (if you have them, if not gloves will be provided)
- A packed lunch and water bottle
Where to Meet:
We will meet on the esplanade near the bird hide
