Hike bros with PMF invites you to an unforgettable hiking adventure at Rivington Pike — a perfect blend of natural beauty, history with brotherhood.
We’ll begin our journey at the Great House Barn Café, setting off towards the iconic Rivington Barn before weaving our way through peaceful woodland trails. With a steady climb, we’ll arrive at the tranquil Japanese Lake, a hidden gem surrounded by lush greenery.
As we press on through the scenic woods, we’ll make our way to the historic Pigeon Tower — a romantic landmark built as a wedding gift, offering charming views over the surrounding woodland.
Our final ascent will take us to the summit of Rivington Pike, where we’ll pause to take in the breathtaking panoramic views and enjoy a well-earned lunch in good company.
From here, it’s a gentle descent as we head toward the enchanting Rivington Castle, soaking in the landscape as we go. To round off the experience, we’ll stroll around the Lower Rivington Reservoir, before returning full circle to the Great House Barn Café.
Essential information
● Male Adults only.
● Participants must be physically fit and able to walk 5 miles on rough terrain without assistance.
● Hiking footwear is mandatory — please wear hiking boots or hiking trainers suitable for uneven and potentially muddy terrain.
● Hiking sticks are available upon request and can be provided by PMF.
● Please bring a waterproof coat, hat, and gloves — the weather can be unpredictable.
● A packed lunch and water bottle are required. (Complimentary bottled water will be available from PMF.)
● Toilets are available at the Rivington Information Centre at both the start and end of the walk.
