Community Mental Health Framework - Developing Peer Support Approaches
Event Information
About this Event
This event is being run for people who live in the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire area.
The Community Mental Health Framework is an NHS project to introduce more effective person-centred mental health support in the community, with a range of support available to better meet people’s mental health needs.
IMHN are working with the local Clinical Commissioning Group to ensure that the voices of people with lived experience of mental health problems are involved in the development of new mental health support.
One of areas we want to explore is hearing about people's experiences of accessing peer support. Specifically, what people think does, or doesn't, work well; and how it could link in with other mental health services.
Other engagement events.
We are also running a series of focus groups, each looking at a different element of the Framework. Please click the links below for more details and to book on.

About the session
This will be your opportunity to discuss peer support as part of community mental health services, to help health commissioners ensure that the new services meet people’s needs.
People who attend the focus group will receive a £25 voucher as a thank you for their contributions and time.
The session will take place virtually on Zoom. Attendees will be sent joining instructions via email in advance. The session will be recorded for internal purposes only, to ensure accurate capture of discussions and points raised.
