Community Mental Health Framework - Eating Disorders
Event Information
About this Event
This event is being run for people with lived experience of mental health, who live in the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire area.
The Community Mental Health Framework is an NHS project to introduce more effective person-centred mental health support in the community, with a range of support available to better meet people’s mental health needs.
IMHN are working with the local Clinical Commissioning Group to ensure that the voices of people with lived experience of mental health problems are involved in the development of new mental health support.
We are running a series of events, each looking at a different element of the Community Mental Health Framework, and what it will look like in our area.
This event will look at eating disorders.
We are also running other sessions on different topics. Please click the links below for full details of these, and to book on.
- developing peer support approaches (Tuesday 8 December at 2pm)
- personality disorders and trauma-informed approaches (Monday 14 December at 4pm)
- transitions from adult care to older adult care (Tuesday 15 December at 11:30am)
- rehabilitation services (Tuesday 15 December at 2pm)
- transitions of care for children and young people (Thursday 17 December at 5:30pm)
About the session
This will be your opportunity to discuss what matters most to you around the elements listed above, to help health commissioners ensure that the new services meet people’s needs.
People who attend the focus group will receive a £25 voucher as a thank you for their contributions and time.
Please note: we expect there to be a high level of interest for these events, and we want to ensure that everyone can have their say. If you are signing up for more than one focus group, you will be asked to express your first preference on the registration form. If demand for spaces is high, we will do our best to allocate people based on their preferences.
The session will take place virtually on Zoom. Attendees will be sent joining instructions via email in advance. The session will be recorded for internal purposes only, to ensure accurate capture of discussions and points raised.
The focus group will be facilitated by a member of the IMHN staff team. We will be joined by small number of mental health professionals, who will be available to support parts of the discussion with their specialist knowledge. If you are a mental health professional wishing to attend this session, please email engagement@imhn.org before signing up.
