Description

The Community of Practice in Research Supervision training is for research supervisors in all stages of their career.

It is an opportunity to discuss the role and responsibilities associated with research supervision; to share best practice; and to seek advice on issues you may need support with.

This training is accredited by SEDA, which is the professional association for staff and educational developers in the UK.

In order to complete this training you must attend all sessions.

Please note that when you book onto this event you are committing to be available for all subsequent sessions too.

The full schedule is below and we recommend you putting these dates in your diary as soon as you book your place.

All sessions take place from 12:00 - 13:30. You will be notified of rooms once they are varified.

  • Tuesday 12th February 2019
  • Presentations – Tuesday 23rd April 2019 (12:00 - 14:00)

None attendance to any of these sessions will impact your completion of the course. It is important you communicate any difficulties in attending with your facilitators at the earliest convenience.

This course will be facilitated by Dr. Kate Thomson and Dr. Carolyn Blackburn and is only available to the employees of Birmingham City University currently, or near engaged in research Supervision.

At this stage you are expressing your interest to attend. The programme director will be in touch to confirm your place within two weeks of recieving your EoI.
