Community Organiser Roundtable: Tips & Tricks for Running a Game Meetup
Overview
Join us for our December Special with games community organisers from the East of England and beyond!
For this special edition, we are bringing together a panel of experienced community leaders to share their tips, stories, and experiences on what it is really like to run a local games community.
In this roundtable session, we’ll explore the ins and outs of grassroots gaming and event management. This is a unique opportunity to learn how to build spaces for people interested in games, manage events, and foster connection directly from those successfully doing the work.
Whether you are thinking of starting your own group, currently run one, or are just curious about the people behind local groups, there’s something here for you. If you’re new, we’d love to meet you and hear what inspires you.
What to Expect:
- A relaxed and welcoming space to meet like-minded people
- Direct access to community organisers from the East of England and beyond
- A chance to ask questions and hear real stories about building local game dev scenes
- An opportunity to share your ideas and learn how to get involved in the industry
- Free food provided 🥪
About the Programme: This event is part of a season-long series aimed to support the people of Kings Lynn and local areas by giving them a chance to speak to industry professionals. This is intended to give prospective developers, hobbyists, and organisers access to speakers and resources they might otherwise not have the chance to connect with. The series aims to bring multiple speakers from all areas of game development, such as voice acting, games journalism, and notable community figures to help broaden horizons and inspire.
