The Yorkshire Energy Partnership (YEP) is working with the Stockholm Environment Institute at the University of York to support community renewable energy in Yorkshire & Humber region.
We would like to invite you to our first FREE Community Renewable Energy Workshop at the Evolution Business Centre.
This free half day event will provide:
- An overview of community renewable energy in the UK.
- An introduction to YEP and how we intend to support community renewable energy in the Yorkshire & Humber region.
- A case study of the Whitby Esk Energy project (guest speaker).
- An opportunity for you to discuss your ideas and any key issues surrounding community renewable energy.
You are welcome to arrive from 09:15 to enjoy some morning refreshments and introduce yourself to fellow delegates. The workshop will begin at 09:30 and will come to a close at 12:30. Lunch is not provided, however tea, coffee, juice and biscuits will be provided at a mid-morning break.
There are a limited number of places so please register soon to avoid disappointment!

- Community energy groups who are considering setting up or have just started a renewable energy project
- Community energy groups who are up and running and able to offer advice
- Local authorities needing to understand their role in promoting/supporting community renewable energy
- Organisations, groups and individuals involved in environmental and sustainable practices (in North Yorkshire)
- People who want to find out more about community renewable energy and YEP
Directions:
Evolution Business Centre is conveniently situated on the outskirts of Northallerton town centre, close to the railway station and main traffic routes. While YEP encourages you to use public transport where possible, we understand that some delegates will need to travel by car.
For Sat Nav users: Please use DL6 2XB and then follow directions from the Country Business Park entrance.
If travelling by car from the South: Take the slip road left from the A19 heading towards Northallerton onto the A61. At roundabout, take 2nd exit onto A168 and proceed to Town Centre. At roundabout, take 2nd exit onto High Street. Keep right to stay on A167/Darlington Road. Turn right into road. You are now entering County Business Park. Continue though gates follow road round to the right, the Evolution Business Centre is straight ahead through the black gates.
