Rugby Borough Council Community Resilience Project
We are proud to announce the launch of our Community Resilience Project, strengthening communities and building a resilient future. This Community Resilience Project is a crucial step towards delivering RBC's new Adaptation Plan objectives, by helping communities prepare for and respond to emergency situations.
The Adaptation Plan can be read here: www.rugby.gov.uk/w/climate-change-adaptation-plan
This project offers up to £500 worth of emergency equiptment to any community groups across the borough. This scheme supports communities in creating or updating their Community Response Plans (CRPs) - a vital step in preparing for emergencies like flooding, extreme weather, and other local risks.
This project will run over 2 years, from November 2025 – October 2027, and consist of 4 - 2 cycles per year (typically November - April, and May - October). It is anticipated that outreach, plan completion and equipment allocation will be completed within the 6 month cycle.
Engage with our informative presentations delivered by the Environment Agency, Severn Trent, Warwickshire County Council's Flood Risk Management Team, and our own Safety & Resilience Team.
Light refreshments will be provided throughout the evening, we hope to see you there.
