Event Information
Description
Community Super Heroes vs The Blight Of Empty Buildings
All across Scotland there are community groups changing their places for the better. Our focus is communities that are working to strengthen their local economy by breathing new life into redundant or stalled buildings. Our theme this year is Community Super Heroes vs the Blight of Empty Buildings.
We are delighted to confirm that Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Economy Derek Mackay MSP will join us at the Tontine Building, Glasgow on 7 February to hear and talk about all that you and Can Do Places are doing.
We’re launching:
-
Our NEW resource website
-
Our Enterprise Walkabouts
-
Our Podcast series
-
AND details of the New Can Do Places Book
This is no sit down and listen event. This is a get up, share stories and make things happen event. Groups from all over Scotland will be there sharing experiences.
It is also a super opportunity to hear from Derek Mackay MSP about the importance of what everyone on the ground is doing and especially how community superheroes can transform our spaces and economy.
Clearing the Obstacle Course
We have set a challenge that by the end of the session we will have at least four things identified that will make life easier and projects happen faster.
We need you to be there. The more people who are able to share their stories and add to the discussion the better.
The launch is FREE to attend. It will run from 9am to 12pm so please join us.
THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT - You can register and your name will be added to the waitlist.
