Event description
A day to examine the economic ideas and explore the democratic potential of community wealth building, aka 'The Preston Model'

About this event

First made famous by Preston City Council's pioneering approach to the generation and democratisation of wealth at a local level 'Community Wealth Building' has emerged as a vital strategy towards transferring economic, social and political power back to communities. And in the process shaping the ways and means towards the wholesale transformation of a failing economic system.

This will be a highly participative event with the emphasis on both learning from those knowledgeable in the field, of community wealth building alongside exchanging our own ideas and experiences of the local state, actual and potential.
