About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours
  • Ages 18+

Our values are all about being kind, including each other, working together and offering support. But what do they really mean? We'd love you to join us so we can chat about what these values mean to you - what does it mean to be kind? How can we include each other? How do we work well together? What does good support look like?

This workshop is designed for all women+ (including trans women and non-binary people). You don't need to know anything about the topic, or about Kairos, to come along. It will be workshop-style with small group activities and discussions at a gentle pace to suit all. Options to opt in or out of each activity. No writing is required.

We'll use what we learn from the workshop to create some posters for our walls showcasing what our values really mean. Most importantly, it will get you thinking about your own values and how you live them.

Booking: This event is free and open to all women and non-binary people, especially women+ who haven't been before. Book on Eventbrite, alternatively you can email info@kairoswomen.org or call on 0141 3785078 to find out more or book a Welcome Meeting with a member of the team.

Food & drinks: we have snacks & hot drinks available for free, and there’s a free food pantry in the corridor & there is always sandwich ingredients in the kitchen so just ask.

Pantry & Free Shop: In our corridor, grab something from the free shop – clothes, toiletries, household items. Or why not see what you can find in the pantry? Lots of items to fill your cupboards.

Children: This group isn’t suitable for children, however, we can chat about this and work out a plan together so you can attend. You are welcome to bring children to the Creative Cafe or Community Soup groups. All children must be supervised by a parent/caregiver. We have a designated kids’ corner in the pink room.

Transport: We are a 12-minute walk from Paisley Gilmour Station and the main bus routes. There is a large car park in front of the building. We will need your registration number on arrival when you sign in for free parking.

Note on the space: we are based in the Embroidery Mill, directly across from Morrisons car park. We’re the mill building without the tall tower nearby. Find out more on our Contact page.

Accessibility information: our space is on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible with an accessible bathroom. Go to our Accessibility & Inclusion page for more information.

Sensory information: Kairos is a very colourful space that can be noisy during busy groups. We use lamps in our spaces to reduce sensory overwhelm and fidget toys are available. Speak to someone before coming along so we can advise you of quieter spaces. We can adapt to make the space more comfortable and accessible for you!
