SAT | 28 SEPT | 9:00 - 16:30

COMPASSION CULTIVATION TRAINING© WORKSHOP

Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive” – The Dalai Lama

You are warmly invited to attend the UK’s first one-day intensive Compassion Cultivation Training© workshop led by Dr. Thupten Jinpa, an international leader in compassion education.

Topics will include:

  • Empathy and empathic distress

  • Mindfulness

  • Self-Compassion and Self-Appreciation

  • Loving-Kindness and Compassion for Others

Thubten Jinpa is the main author of the Compassion Cultivation Training© developed at Stanford University in 2009. This workshop condenses the essence of that training into a rich one-day experience. It offers a rare opportunity to learn concepts, skills and practices from an international expert in the field, using a mixture of didactic, experiential and contemplative methods.

Dr. Thupten Jinpa

Dr Thupten Jinpa is the founder of the Compassion Institute™, which advocates and provides compassion training globally. He is also the Chairman of the Board of the Mind and Life Institute since 2012. He serves as an adjunct professor at McGill University, Montreal, is the founder and president of the Institute of Tibetan Classics, and a frequent speaker at international conferences on mindfulness, compassion and contemplative practice.

Jinpa is the principal English translator to HH the Dalai Lama and has translated and collaborated on numerous books with him. His own publications include A Fearless Heart: How the Courage to be Compassionate Can Transform Our Lives as well as translations of major Tibetan works featured in The Library of Tibetan Classics series.
