Event description
Understand the principles of compassion and how to cultivate it through coaching practice to enhance behavioural change and wellbeing.

About this event

Join Hilary McLellan and Dr Ashleigh McLellan to explore and develop compassion in ourselves and in our coaching practice.

Developing your Compassionate Mind

In a world where behavioural change is no longer a choice but a daily demand, we are all likely to experience increased anxiety and stress as uncertainty plays a greater part in all our lives and the lives of our clients.

The research and psychological evidence of developing a compassionate mind for increased wellbeing and performance is well documented but primarily applied in the world of clinical psychology.

Hilary and Ashleigh have worked together to create this unique two day online course for Coaches as an opportunity for you to further your own personal desire and/or reason to develop your best self.

Who is this training for?

All coaches who coach for behavioural change and want to learn and practice this new ‘Compassion Focused Coaching’ approach.

What is it about?

Regularly the biggest challenge faced in behavioural change is our own self-critic, what it says, how it says it and the values and beliefs it forms in our deeply set unconscious behavioural habits. The first step is to release our ability to bring about the change we want. This happens when we develop a compassionate mind.

Compassionate, people-centred leaders are ahead of the game and at the forefront of developing the new generation of competitive advantage. Far from being ‘soft and fluffy' or a weakness, compassion guides leaders to be courageous, strong and emotionally intelligent.

Day one

We support and guide you in a safe environment to:

Explore and deepen your understanding of the basic principles of compassion.

Notice and understand what makes us uncomfortable, anxious, scared or shameful.

Take part in experiential learning, using psychological models and exercises to develop your own self-compassion.

Reflect upon the impact of this learning and how you want to present yourself as a coach.

Day two

We support and guide you in a safe environment to:

Recognise the steps you can take to cultivate compassion through your coaching practice.

Choose your authentic approach to compassion focused coaching.

Practice coaching using a selection of the models and exercises from day one.

Reflect upon the impact of your learning and your practice as a compassion focused coach.

Fee includes PDF pack of course materials and follow up webinar to help you embed your practice.

This is the first of two Compassion Focused Coaching Workshops. An Advanced Level option takes place in February 2022 for those who complete this Entry Level. An exclusive discount code will be available for previous attendees.

To continue to find ways to support coaches during these uncertain times, we are proud to be committed to healthy online learning.

Accordingly, we will contract with you to ensure regular breaks and give full permission for you to stand and move about during the sessions.

(Children and pets are welcome but may be best partnered with a mute button!)
