Event Details

Join us for an inspiring evening with Thupten Jinpa as he reveals how compassion can lead to more happiness, less stress, a sense of purpose, better health and a longer life.

Jinpa is a highly acclaimed thought leader and translator for His Holiness the Dalai Lama. His new book A Fearless Heart shows us how we can train our compassion muscle and unlock great benefits both for ourselves and others.

"A Fearless Heart is a rare book that shows how the meeting of contemplative practices with modern science can lead to offerings that are beneficial for everyone interested in deeper personal transformation" ~ The Dalai Lama

About The Speaker

Thupten Jinpa Langri (known as Jinpa) was born in Tibet and received his early education and training as a monk in South India. Since 1985, he has been principal English translator to the Dalai Lama and has translated and edited more than ten books by the Dalai Lama.

He is Chair of the Mind and Life Institute and Adjunct professor at the Faculty of Religious Studies, McGill University. His new book A Fearless Heart: Why compassion is the key to greater wellbeing is based on a course in Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT) that he developed at Stanford University Medical School and which has had remarkable results.

"A Fearless Heart is the bravest, clearest and most engaging book I know on why we need to cultivate compassion, and on how to bring it more widely and deeply into our lives and into the world ~ Jon Kabat-Zinn
