Compassionate Mind Approach to Mothers Experiencing Perinatal Distress

Breastfeeding LENS are delighted to be hosting an afternoon workshop suitable for all those involved in supporting mothers.
Such as; IBCLCs, midwives, health visitors, GPs, counsellors, psychotherapists, complimentary & alternative therapists, doulas, peer supporters.
The event is an afternoon workshop led by:
Michelle Cree BSc (Hons), Psychology, MSc Clinical Psychology.
Michelle who is an Associate fellow of the British Psychological Society, membership number 71703 and a member of Health Practitioners Council, says
“The compassionate mind approach looks at the critical importance of feeling safe, soothed, and connected in relation to others, but also in relation to ourselves, in being able to get through times when we are struggling. It helps us to heal after childbirth recover when breastfeeding is painful, connect to our baby, and to have access to different ways of thinking through difficulties.”
