Who should attend?

Leaders of independent schools that are inspected by Ofsted.

Why should you attend?

If your school has recently been awarded a grade 3 or 4 during an Ofsted inspection the DfE will ask you to compile an action plan. The plan should demonstrate how your school plans to address the independent school standards that were not met at the time of the inspection. It is important to get this plan right because the DfE commissions Ofsted to evaluate this plan and the outcome is critical to your school's ability to demonstrate timely improvement at the progress monitoring inspection that will follow.

During this workshop, you will:

  • get clear guidance about how to compile an effective post-inspection action plan
  • uncover details about how your plan is evaluated including recent examples of the reasons why some schools' action plans have not been approved
  • begin compiling your school's action plan with guidance or
  • get an external evaluation of part of your action plan if you have already compiled one

Parking

There is free parking onsite but it is limited. For this reason, we will pay for delegates to park at Plough and Harrow, 135 Hagley Rd, Birmingham B16 8LS. It is a 2-minute walk from our location. Transferring your booking

Delegates can transfer their bookings by contacting the organiser via email by midnight on the 29th of December 2017.
