This free 90-minute online workshop is for people providing statutory advocacy for service users with an NHS or Parliamentary complaint. The workshop provides attendees with the tools to help service users navigate the complex complaint landscape
The workshop is only for people working in advocacy and will cover:
•who we are and what the Ombudsman does
•process for raising an NHS or Parliamentary complaint
•the investigation process at PHSO
•how we can support your work
Due to resources we do not have the capacity to offer this to private individuals and those not-working in the VCSE/Charity/Advocacy sector.

Are these sessions interactive, can I ask questions?
Yes! We like people to get involved and we do this by using polls, word clouds and the chat function on Microsoft Teams. We encourage people to ask questions, we cannot discuss specific cases, but we can offer general advice and signpost people.
How do you accommodate access requests?
If you require any access adjustments (for example, large print, BSL interpreter, PowerPoint slides in an alternative format) , please send an email with the heading 'ACCESS REQUEST' in the subject box to public.engagement@ombudsman.org.uk
Please note, we require at least two weeks notice to manage access requests.
