James Redmond

Returning to MC our night once again will be the fabulous James Redmond. As well as touring comedy clubs across the country James is also known for his roles as Rory Finnigan in Hollyoaks and Abs Denham in Casualty.

Mark Simmons

We are delighted to have one of the countries rising stars in Mark Simmons appearing on the night, the master of the one liner Mark has taken the step from stage to screen in recent years appearing on shows including Mock The Week.

Ivo Graham

Apologetic Eton and Oxford alumnus Ivo started stand-up in 2009 at the age of 18, and eight months and later became the youngest ever winner of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny award for new acts at the Edinburgh Fringe. He has become a regular fixture in the clubs and theatres of the UK circuit, with a gauche charm and crafty, self-aware wit which has proved a hit with audiences of all ages, and led to appearances on multiple TV and radio shows including Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, Live From The BBC and Comedy Central At The Comedy Store. He is a regular writer on Fighting Talk and The Last Leg as well as several others.

Angela Barnes

We are over the moon to have the supremely talented Angela Barnes headline the night for us. After a career in health and social care, Angela Barnes took the plunge and embarked on her life-long dream to be a comedian. Within just a couple of years she had won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2011 and has now gone on to star in BBC Two’s Mock The Week, Live At The Apollo and Hypothetical on Dave.

As well as becoming a regular on BBC Radio 4 having featured on The Now Show and The News Quiz, Angela took on the role of host on BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack in 2017. Angela’s hit series You Can’t Take It With You returned for a second series in 2019 in the coveted 6:30 pm comedy slot on BBC Radio 4.

Recently, Angela took over hosting duties of BBC Radio 4’s iconic The News Quiz, hosting the full spring series to huge success.

Doors will be open from 6.30pm

Meals served between 7 and 8pm

Comedy from 8pm ( with 2 intervals )

We have 2 great meal choices on the night + your choice of wine, beer or soft drink. Simply select your preferred option when purchasing your tickets

Seating on the night

Seating on the night will be in tables of 6. If you have less than 6 in your party you may be asked to share a table. If you have a group of over 6 then please let us know on fundraising@sussexbeacon.org.uk and we will try and accommodate you.

*The night will be run in accordance with Government Guidance and will be adapted on the event of any future announcements including those relating to masks and social distancing. We will keep all ticket holders updated on the event of any adaptations we need to make as a result in a change of Government guidance.
