About this event

Business • Educators

This event is organised by The Complexiteers, a group established 10 years ago by Professor Chris James, Dr Melissa Hawkins and Dr Jean Boulton. The initial aim of the group was to explore the value of complexity theory in exploring issues within education. The group continues to this day, has grown in size and scope, and attracts scholars exploring the core of complexity theory as applied to the social world, and its application in the fields of public management, health, education, leadership and social change.

In this event, facilitated and introduced by Melissa Hawkins, Jean Boulton will provide an overview of complexity theory, and Dr Neil Gilbride will give a lecture in honour of Chris James covering their final collaborative.
