This two-day course, aimed at intermediate and more experienced artists, is designed to help you reach into your imagination to create comprehensively composed, balanced but expressive work. Through the medium of oil, you’ll be guided through a process of deeper personal expression, delving further into your own imagination and inner feelings to create unique scenes or landscapes. For all artists this will be an exercise in learning the techniques of being true to yourself and not just the subject matter. The result will be a new way to tap into something more meaningful and with greater mood and feeling.

JULIE ANN SCOTT is an internationally renowned artist, now living and working in Dorset. She has been painting professionally to much acclaim for more than 10 years and works mainly using oil, exploring the themes of light, Julie Ann is known, amongst other things, for her intensely coloured underwater scenes in which shoals of fish swirl in a vibrant vortex of light, as well as for her breathtakingly moody landscapes and her representations of galactic nebulae. Her striking paintings are available through galleries nationwide.

The cost of this two-day course is £200 and includes lunch as well as tea and coffee.
