About this event

Join Em, from the West Edge, for this practical session rich in tips and simple tricks to creating healthy, live compost, whatever your situation, whether you’re most interested in cutting food waste, in reducing expenditure on plastic sacks of unsatisfactory compost, or in building soil health for earth’s sake. This workshop will include practical demonstrations on the beautiful land of Marcassie Farm.

Wherever she’s been and whatever else she’s doing, Em’s been composting for 45 years, helping return sandy, boggy or sour Rhododendron/Sitka Spruce soils back to life, nourishing soil beasties, and bigger ones, feeding self & soul too.

Compost: from Latin compositus, compostus - com (together) ponere (to place).

Afterwards, we can share lunch together with a wee pot of food prepped by Hannah from Gut Feelings.

This event is free due to funding from The Finderene Development Trust. If you are able to take along £5-£20 to donate towards running more events like this it would be greatly appreciated.
