Composting 101 with KPC garden group
Overview
Join KPC's community garden group to learn how to make healthy, living compost using our wormery, hotbin & bays.
Did you know that the soil that we walk on and that we grow our food in is not just rocks and dirt, but a whole ecosystem? Soil is alive, it's home to billions of micro organisms, invertebrates and other animals. The health of the soil is key to a healthy climate and a healthy food system. Join us in this workshop on soil health and composting as we learn how our soil supports us and how we can support our soil.
This practical, hands on session will be facilitated by Glasgow Community Food Network's Jenny MacGillivray. Jenny has expertise & interest in urban and rural development, sustainable food systems, urban agriculture, education and awareness raising, composting, and food growing.
