These comprehensive childbirth education workshops are for women and their birth partners booked with Kings College Hospital, Denmark Hill, London.

Women booked at the PRUH are also welcome to join however the content is specific to the Denmark Hill site. We will take a register of hospital IDs at the start of the session so please only book if you are planning to give birth at King's.

This course runs on Monday from 11 am - 1 pm

Over three weeks we will cover -

1. Labour and Birth on January 25th, 2021

2. Complications of Birth on February 1st, 2021

3. Postnatal and feeding your baby on February 8th, 2021

Please book one ticket for each session you intend to join (some people will be joining the whole series while others will be making up a class from a previous series).

The best time to attend is after 30 weeks of pregnancy. Once registered for the class the Zoom meeting ID and password will be emailed to you (check your junk mail).

Topics include coping with labour, analgesia options, when to contact the maternity helpline, positions for active birth, induction of labour, instrumental birth, caeserean birth, breastfeeding, safe sleeping and birth recovery.

Participants will be asked to mute for the main session. There will be opportunities to ask questions via chat and time for open discussion and breakout groups.
