The Computational Intelligence Unconference UK is an informal meeting, in the United Kingdom, for like-minded people. An "unconference" tries to be almost opposite to a conference, it is informal and relaxed, it is about equal and fair discussions, and most importantly it is free (open to all, free to attend, and free food & drink). The unconference aims to be supportive and collaborative.
The Computational Intelligence Unconference UK will be an unconference for people involved in computational intelligence and intelligent systems in general. There will be a particular focus on Fuzzy Set Theory, Neural Networks and Evolutionary Computing, but other areas of application such as Data Mining, Bioinformatics, Computational Finance and other applications may also be explored depending on interest.
More details are available from the website: http://ciunconference.org/uk/2014/
Event is on Saturday 26th July 2014, at the BT Centre in London.
Arrivals from 9:30. Event formally begins at 10:00. Event formally finishes at 18:00.
When & Where
Daniel is currently (2012-2015) a PhD Researcher in the Intelligent Systems Laboratory and the Engineering Mathematics Department at the University of Bristol, where his research involves the intersection of Fuzzy Set Theory and Data Mining (Association Rule Mining), particularly when applied to structured/semi-structured spatio-temporal data-sets. Having an Industrial CASE Scholarship, co-sponsored with the EPSRC and British Telecom. His professional and academic background is in Semantic Web, Linked Data, Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 Research and Development.
He is also the organiser and co-founder of the Computational Intelligence Unconference(s). The first one being run on 26th July 2014 at the BT Centre in London. He has also run unconferences on semantic web, knowledge-based systems / knowledge management, and green living.
