Event description

Description

Brief Overview: This event is to provide adult learners and teachers with the opportunity to create (from scratch) two projects in python and javascript(with html and css) that cover the main proramming constructs and support programming theory. The projects will enable delegates to cover programming fundamentals from variables through to program flow using if-else, loops as well as string manipulation and arrays. The course will also provide pedagogical advice and a full set of resources for learning or teaching python programming, javascript, algorithms, boolean logic and programming, computational thinking and computing theory for GCSE and A Level Computer Science. Attendees will be provided with full subscriptions to both www.teachingcomputing.com and www.teachyourselfpython.com including the 'test and track' feature that includes 100s of self marking and trackable tests geared to the exam board specification (both GCSE and A Level). There will also be two challenges (one related to boolean logic and programming and the other a general challenge) with PRIZES for the winning teams!
