From robotics and e-business, to games and mobile app development, there is something for everyone when you study for a degree in Computing and Information Systems. You can choose from a wide range of up-to-date, relevant and exciting courses in new technologies such as digital media, embedded systems, games development, forensics and security, as well as more traditional subject areas like computer science, networking and software engineering.
Any degree you undertake will focus on solving practical and important real-life problems. The university has won multiple awards for its outstanding work such as the Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher Education in 2002; the top award at the British Computer Society (BCS) IT Awards in 2001; and more recently, the US Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) Jack Bono Engineering Communication Award for 2008; and the Royal Aeronautical Society’s Bronze Award for 2010.
