Aims: what to EXPECT
1. Educate teachers by sharing resources for teaching computing
2. Engage teachers to introduce computing activities into ICT lessons
3. Encourage teachers who might be frightened of computing to 'have a go' and share experiences and good practice with each other!
No previous programming knowledge is required.

Computing at School (CAS)
Computing at School (CAS) is a membership association which aims to promote and support Computing and related disciplines in UK schools, formally supported by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Its memberships is diverse, including teachers at over 500 schools across the UK, exam boards, industry, universities, professional societies, as well as parents and governors. CAS seeks to work at many levels, including directly supporting Computing/ICT teachers, as well advocacy at a national policy level. It has been heavily involved in the Royal Society Call for Evidence on Computing in Schools, as well as contributing to the recent National Curriculum Review in England. Alan O'Donohoe [Our Lady's High School]
Alan O'Donohoe is the Principal Teacher of Computing at Our Lady's HS, Preston and Level 2 CAS Master Teacher. His creative approaches to teaching Computing have been graded as 'Outstanding' and he has already achieved excellent results with his GCSE Computing classes. Alan's 'Teach Computing' courses have received the highest levels of feedback.
